SatCom offers satellite TV sales and services/repairs. We feature DirecTV products, but can service Dish Network and DirecTV.

SATELLITE SALES

With approved credit, customers can get up to four standard receivers through DirecTV for only $19.99 (shipping and handling fee). We also offer higher end satellite receivers, including Digital Video Recorders (DVRs- enabling you to pause, rewind, record) and high definition receivers and dishes. SatCom versus other satellite TV retailers

There are an awful lot of retailers out there offering DirecTV, and you may see newspaper ads, mail-outs, phone books ads, etc, but SatCom offers many benefits that the others don't or can't:

First, SatCom installs what we sell! This means you will get a local installer, employed by SatCom and licensed, certified and insured through us. We guarantee a good installation- friendly service, quality installation, quality materials (cable, connectors, grounding), and a punctual installation appointment time. We guarantee that you will not have any installation-related problems, and stand behind this with a one-year guarantee (does not include acts that we have no control over, such as a tree falling on a dish or a ground mount being hit by a vehicle).

By far, the most important prerequesite to an enjoyable satellite TV experience is a good installation. If the equipment is not properly installed, you can lose signal often, eventually lose channels altogether, and/or have poor quality (non-digital, etc) reception.

Second, SatCom offers honest and complete sales information. This is highly valued by us, as we want you to know what you are getting before you get it, not after you are tied in to a one-year binding contract.

Finally, SatCom offers service after the sale. This really distinguishes us from most other retailers. We will work with you any way we can if you have problems, including billing problems (please understand that once we sign you up, you are DirecTV's customer, and calls regarding billing by us may require your permission or assistance), reception problems, questions, and more.

Most common complaints

Having sold satellite TV services for more than five years, we have heard the same complaints again and again from individuals who have signed on with DirecTV and are not pleased with all or portions of their experience. Several times a week (unfortunately for us!), we have a new satellite TV customer come to us or call us that has had a bad experience and are wishing they would have realized before they committed that they could have gotten satellite TV through us. Here are the most common complaints:

- My reception is poor and I lose my signal a lot. I can't get anyone from the place I bought it to help me.

- I took off work more than once to meet the installer at the scheduled installation time, but no one showed up.

- I wanted the wires to be hidden (unexposed) but my installer told me he could not do that.

- I was misinformed about what my monthly bill would be.

- I got high definition TV services, but my picture is not high definition.

- The installer did a sloppy job and now I have a mess of cables showing.

- The installer mounted my dish on a pole in my yard where it is in the way, and the pole is not even concreted. Now I can't get anyone from where I bought it to fix it!

- The installer did not hook my new satellite receiver in with my DVD player or VCR, or surround sound.

- The installer did not program my remote or show me how to use it.
